Transformers Generations Legends Class Nemesis Prime and Spinster

All Optimus toy mold no matter how good or bad.... sooner or later there will be a black repaint of it. This is the unwritten rule and and new generations legends is no exception. Normally, i welcome a most Nemesis Prime repaint, because the mixture of teal and black is really really awesome. Unfortunately this time, Cliffjumper is much more interesting than his wavemate here.

Nemesis Prime has a pretty good alt mode. The truck is well done, all the pieces tab well and it looks pretty solid. The black is abit weird here though, sometimes it's black in some pics, sometimes its really dark brown.

Sci Fi Revoltech Anguirus

Anguirus was the first kaiju that ever fought the big G himself making him Toho's second kaiju. Unfortunately, he was killed in the encounter in Godzilla Raids Again. But Toho reintroduced him again in the later film series and since then Anguirus has become one of the fan fave and Godzilla's trusted ally. It's surprising that Bandai has yet to release a depiction of Anguirus in their Monsterarts line, but fortunately Kaiyodo gave us a magnificent figure that is the Showa Anguirus!

This depiction of Anguirus is from Destroy All Monsters film which is my fave appearance of him. Kaiyodo really gave it their all making Anguirus, he looks magnificent. His horns and fangs are harder plastic while his carapace and spikes are made from rubbery plastic, which i appreciate, i won't have to bleed everytime i pose him.

He's really articulated which is to be expected of Kaiyodo's revoltech line.

His tail is rubber with a wire core which gives it some posability.

His accessories is just the ship featured in the movie called Moonlight SY-3 and it's launch effects.

Not much to say bout this, but the details are nice.

He scales perfectly with the new Neca Godzilla.

He's such a great looking figure and is everything i could hope for Anguirus. Unfortunately, he's released pretty long ago and will probably fetch a hefty sum in the current market. But if you're lucky, like i was, you might find him still lurking around in hobby stores tucked behind the newer releases.

Anyway thanks for viewing!

Bandai SHF Kamen Rider Bravo

I finally gave the new Kamen Rider Gaim a chance and I LOVED IT! The concept of using fruits to transform sounds so silly but the show was executed pretty well, and the characters so memorable. Among all the characters though, 1 stood above all the rest, the ever flamboyant ex military pattissier, Oren Pierre Alfonzo aka Kamen Rider Bravo!

Oren transforms with the durian lockseed so his design is based on the spartan and durian. With spikes EVERYWHERE(i do love a toy that can draw blood when you fiddle with them) and a cool mohawk, he's looks so unique. Add to that the colour scheme of metallic dark green, light green, purple and silver, he stands out on the shelf.

Instead of compound eyes like all the typical Kamen Rider, Bravo here has lines.

He doesn't come with much, but it's pretty much all you need anyway. Extra hands, tiny tiny durian lockseed (i'll probably loose it if i'm not careful), his twin swords, Duri Noko and a wine glass... which is pretty cool touch by Bandai. He had them in 2 episodes if i remember correctly. I would love it if he came with cakes though, that'll be perfect.

Check out the tiny lockseed's details! Even the tiny belt has articulation but it's so tiny, you have to practice some restraint changing them.

Salut

By the way, i love love love the new SHF hips. Those pull down hips were pretty articulated but they were so fragile. These on the other hands, achieve both fantastic articulation and are pretty solid. The articulation overall is pretty great but that's as expected of a SHF.

He's really great! I'm loving him so much that i'll probably get another Gaim Kamen Rider to display with him. Too bad he's an exclusive so be prepare to pay abit more for him. But other than the price, i really can't recommend him enough. Now i'm gotta decide who should i get next... shall it be Gridon? Zangetsu? Or maybe i should get Gaim???

Anyway, thanks for viewing!

Neca 12" Godzilla 1994

If you read my previous review of Neca's 2014 Godzilla, you'll know i really liked the figure. But Neca's latest release blows 2014 Godzilla out of the water. Introducing, Neca's 1994 Godzilla!

This Godzilla is based on his 1994 movie appearance in Godzilla vs Space Godzilla. It's beautifully sculpted with sharp textures all over. Seriously, the sculpt just looks so good. His fins are made from really soft plastic though, would have prefer it a bit harder, but that's just my nitpicky preference.

But articulation is where he shines above 2014 Godzilla. He's such joy to pose! He has all the articulations from 2014 Godzilla and alittle bit more in his arms. Also because he's skinnier than 2014 Godzilla, the articulations aren't as restricted.

Unfortunately, like most of Neca's release, paint apps on the eyes are off.  The pupils are way too large, it's like he has puppy eyes...

Compared to the Neca's 2014 Godzilla, it's obvious which is the better made figure.

I'm really glad i bought this guy. While Neca's offering might not be as impressive as Bandai's SH Monster Arts line but for quarter the price, Neca's 1994 Godzilla is a steal. I'm really impressed with Neca this time, hopefully they'll continue the great work.

Anyway, thanks for viewing!

EDIT: Turns out what Godzilla needed was the yellow ring around the pupils. So i gave mine a minor paint touch up and he looks way better now.
