Star Wars Black Series 6" Bossk

With the Force Awakens around the corner, what better way to celebrate with a badass man-lizard bounty hunter? Introducing the newest entry to Hasbro's Star Wars Black series, Bossk!
Bossk is Trandoshan bounty hunter that worked for Darth Vader along with the likes of Boba Fett, 4LOM, Zuckuss, IG 88 and Dengar. He only makes a small cameo in the movies but apparently he has a strained rivalry with Boba and hatred for the crew of the Millenium Falcon. I don't really know much bout Star Wars besides the movie, but Bossk was always one of my favourite characters mostly because he's a giant lizard man in a space suit. What's not to love?

I've not dabbled into the Black series much, only have the Sandtrooper and Proto Boba Fett but from what i can gather, they're similar to Marvel Legends except made better. The plastic used are sturdier and most figures are unique without reusing the same parts thus no mold degradation. Anyway, Bossk looks really awesome! Tons of details in the sculpt especially the head and scales. The suit looks good with wrinkles and folds as well.

Paint is still is a bit problematic, it's sloppy and crappily applied, with bad QC here and there. My Bossk has a giant goop of grey paint on his legs that I had to use blades to scrape it off. The wash on the figure is good, but it's the paint on the suit that's crap.

Bossk is decently articulated. With fantastic articulation on the legs, he's able to do most action poses. He also has an articulated jaw which I like though I've heard people complaining that it interrupts the sculpt too much. I don't feel that it does though. He is some what limited by the design though, his waist swivel is limited by the connecting tubes and his head can basically just swivel due to his collar. And I would have like Bossk to have double hinged arms as well.

His only accessory, is the rifle he carried in the movie. It's casted in soft black plastic with no paint apps. Though it does have a separate strap that's connected to the rifle on loops so you can pose it differently.

Bossk is great! There are some minor flaws that are keeping him from being perfect, but I'm very satisfied with what Hasbro offered. Now just gotta wait for IG 88 and the rest of the bounty hunters.

Thanks for viewing!
