Marvel Legends Infinite Daredevil

With the release of the fantastic Netflix Daredevil series (it's great by the way, go watch it) , it's no surprise that Hasbro would want to push some merch for ol Man Without Fear. So when they stuck him in the latest Spider-man ML series i knew besides Spidey 2009, i gotta get my hands on Daredevil as well. So how does he stack up? Pretty good actually.

Marvel Legends Infinite Spider-Man 2099

Among all the versions of Spider-men, i think my fave will have to be Spider-man 2099. The suit design just screams cool to me and Miguel O'hara is a pretty good character. But unfortunately there wasn't a decently articulated figure of him, the old Toybiz and Marvel Universe ones were pretty crappy. That is until Hasbro finally gave us Spidey 2099 in the second Spider-man Infinite ML wave. So without further ado, here comes Spidey 2099 swinging in!

Marvel Legends Infinite Spider-Man Anti Venom

Hasbro's new line up for the second series of Spider-man Legends ROCKS! Spidey 2099, Daredevil, Spider-girl Mayday and ANTI-VENOM!!! For those unfamiliar with Anti-Venom, he was a cancer ridden Eddie Brock that gave up the Venom symbiote because he was dying. But there were traces left and when Martin Li/Mr Negative cured Eddie of his cancer with his powers, the symbiote remnants fused with Eddie's white blood cells and became a new hybrid symbiote, ANTI-VENOM!

He's a healer as well as a warrior, able to cure any disease and remove impurities including Spidey's radioactive blood. He was an interesting character, charismatic and dimensional and gave Eddie Brock some needed change. His stories, though short lived, won the hearts of new and old fans alike. So what did Marvel decide to do with him? Gave him to Dan Slott who killed the symbiote in a nonsensical way to end his painfully mediocre Spider Island event... Anyway, the figure!

Marvel Legends Spider-Man Infinite Spider-Girl

I was window shopping one fine day with no intentions of buying anything except some household stuff, until i came upon a stall. Lo and behold, there stands the new Marvel Legends Spider-Girl. Though it was loose, for 15 USD, i can't help myself ( MLs retail for 25 USD here ). So here she is, Spider-Girl, Anya Corazon.

Anya was a teenager who was given spider powers, then she lost it, used hi-tech gadgets for awhile, then gained spider powers again. She faded into obscurity after her own series ended but has recently resurfaced in Avengers Assemble comics. Before i go further, i want to say Spider-Girl has the best female body Hasbro has in the 6" scale currently. I'm pretty impressed Hasbro made an all new body and not just repainting Black Cat and sticking a new head on that. Anyway, Spider-Girl here is a variant for Black Cat.

Compared to the Black Cat and the recent Gamora, she has alot more articulations but most notable of all are the hinged wrists, calf swivels and ankle rockers.

Paintwise, she's just a black body with white paint apps which reminds of how the symbiote Venom look. But i have no complaints here, it's cleanly applied and no slops.

She doesn't come with any accessories of her own except the Goblin BAF piece, which is kinda unfortunate. She would have been great with swappable hands.

She's a tad tinier than most MLs which suits her physique as a teenager.

She's really great! Even if you're not familiar with the character, she looks good standing next to any of the Spider-men. I hope Hasbro would use this mold more, I know the upcoming Mayday ML will be using this mold. Now i just want my Agent Venom to be delivered faster so i can display her next to him.

Anyway, thanks for viewing!

I have a thing for spider-girls... don't ask

Marvel Legends Spider-Man Infinite Carnage

Unlike the Eddie Brock, Carnage's host was mostly the psychotic murderer Cletus Kasady. And unlike Eddie, Cletus was a one note character who basically murders everyone in his path. So unlike Toxin, i have no particular attachment to the character, but how does the toy stack up to the newer Marvel Legends? Not too bad actually.

He's probably the best looking Carnage toy Hasbro has made ever. With a great head sculpt, attached tendrils and new hand sculpts, he looks pretty impressive. The black vines are painted instead of molded on so it looks great without being too messy.

Articulations are the standard modern Marvel Legends standard, so it's pretty good.

He comes with the exact same back tendril attachment that came with Toxin.

Overall a pretty good figure, and will probably the definitive Carnage toy for some time.
Anyway thanks for viewing!

Marvel Legends Spider-Man Infinite Toxin

I used to be a big fan of Spidey... but years of years of really bad writing really turned me off. It's like Marvel really wants people to hate the Spider-Man series. But fortunately, as Spidey himself keeps getting suckier, his rogues galleries are getting better, and among them are my faves, the Symbiotes.
The Symbiotes themselves were nothing special, just typical shape shifting sentient suits, it's the characters that wears them that makes them interesting and Eddie Brock is the most entertaining psychopath to ever wield alien suits (Flash Thompson comes in second place). From early Venom to Anti-Venom (seriously, that's not how you culture vaccines, go read a science book Dan Slot) to the current Toxin, Eddie never fails to entertain even in the hands of a bad writer. Anyway, to coincide with the new Amazing Spider-Man 2 that's coming out, Hasbro released brand new Spidey Marvel Legends and guess who's in it? Why Eddie Toxin of course!

First impression was how mean this guy look. Hasbro gave him a unique headsculpt that looks like he's ready to bite your head off. Although, the gigantic top teeth looks kinda goofy originally, but nothing a little paint weathering can't fix. He comes with the same tendrils that came with Carnage so you can plug it in the back. I prefer to plug it in facing down though, to differentiate him from Carnage and it makes him more natural.

Based on the more recent Hyperion body, which looks pretty good for buff characters. Articulations are pretty good, nothing crazy like the new Spidey though. The head, arms and hands are the only new sculpts.

Paint wise, he's pretty  simple, a little bit of black and yellow for the eyes, light gray for the teeth, greenish gray for the tongue, and red with maroon for the rest. What stands out though, is the gloss they gave him, it looks pretty good.

I'm loving him more than i should. Maybe it's the body buck, maybe it's the character, but i can't help but pose him constantly. He might be a little bland for the casual collectors but all in all a pretty solid toy. Anyway, thanks for viewing!
