Transformer The Last Knight Scorn Voyager

It's been a good long while since i've last bought an official transformer. It's not because the new toys are bad, i've just been too busy with life and budget's been tight.
But now that i've finally settled in the new place, i can start building my collection again. And what better way to start with the new voyager from the latest movie, Scorn from The Last Knight!

Hasbro Transformers Age of Extinction Deluxe Slug

After the fantastic Deluxe Scorn, how does his dinobot wavemate stands next to him? Kinda... meh? Based off the G1 dinobot, Slug aka Slag aka Snarl is a triceratops though he looks kinda skeletal especially with the spines on the tail. He's mostly made of purple plastic with some grey painted with red, dark grey and some silver. A very cool colour scheme for sure.

He's not a bad toy to be honest, his alt mode is fantastic. It looks very cool with tons of spikes coming out from the face and a very nice looking frill. Articulation on the dino mode has jaw swivel, shoulder ball joints, swivel elbow and back leg toes swivels. It's a bit weird that to complete the transformation the back legs have to peg into the back and thus taking away the articulation from the hips.

He comes with 2 short swords and it looks so GOOFY stored on the dinomode! Just look at it!

Bot mode is where he's a tad lacking. The proportions is awkward with popeye arms, huge boots and tiny torso with a tiny head. The shoulder pauldrons are also the dino head split in half, which is pretty cool. Again, same with Scorn, his head is based on the knight's helmet though i have no idea what this kind of particular helmet is called.

He looks cool dual wielding his short swords at least. Articulations are pretty standard, but because of how  his dino legs peg to torso, he can't lower his arms by his side.

Nice looking head sculpt.

After fiddling around with him, i prefer to keep him in dino mode because of how good he looks. Not as fun as Scorn, he might not satisfy you dinobot needs. Overall it's above average.
Anyway, thanks for viewing!

Hasbro Transformers Age of Extinction Deluxe Scorn

So Michael Bay has decided to make another Transformer movie... yup... ain't gonna hold alot of expectation for that. Anyway, the movie this time is bringing us dinobots and you know what that means? MORE TOYS! Introducing a whole brand new character to the franchise, Scorn, the red-sailed knight!

Scorn is a spinosaurus that's made of knifes. Seriously, this thing has jagged edges everywhere and it's cool! The whole thing is decked in red and grey plastic, with orange paints and baby blue for the eyes with contrasts really well with the red.

Articulation wise, the dino more has really good head swivels (up/down and sideways), ball jointed arms and kinda awkward leg joints. Not much pose you can pull off with those leg joints without looking awkward.

Bot mode, is a thing of beauty. Probably because it doesn't have the butt ugly Baybot faces, it looks really good. I heard the designers drew design inspiration from knights for the dinobots and here it shows. With large shoulder pauldrons, bucket helmet and LANCE ARM Scorn looks imposing and cool. It reminds me of Darksouls and i really love Darksouls.

Articulation is pretty good, though the knee joint is kinda awkward.

Underneath the lance arm, there's a slot for a shortblade. Not much to mention bout it, but it's nice of the designers to enable you to store it on the figure.

Really like the double fins.

It's surprisingly good and unique, but if i have to point out a flaw, it'll be the awkward knee joints. Other than that, it's a great figure. I understand that Hasbro has increased the price yet again, so people might be wary of buying new figures especially of an new character, but if you're gonna buy 1, make it this guy.
Anyway thanks for viewing!
