Shodo VS Kamen Riders

Just bought my fave main and secondary Kamen Rider from the Shodo 1/18 line! I've bitten by the 1/18 bug again and this is my first foray into the Shodo line.

66 Action Kamen Riders Box 6

Another month, another 66 action box! Since it's already box 6, you've probably know what 66 action is all about by now ( 66 action is a candy box series from Bandai that features cheap but very articulated toys ranging from mostly Kamen Riders to Dragon Ball ). So let's just jump right to it!

66 Action Kamen Riders Box 4

Another box finally arrived with some really cool offerings this time! Seems like Bandai decided to drop the secret entries as well, which i don't mind. Anyway, onwards with the pictures!

Bandai SHF Kamen Rider Bravo

I finally gave the new Kamen Rider Gaim a chance and I LOVED IT! The concept of using fruits to transform sounds so silly but the show was executed pretty well, and the characters so memorable. Among all the characters though, 1 stood above all the rest, the ever flamboyant ex military pattissier, Oren Pierre Alfonzo aka Kamen Rider Bravo!

Oren transforms with the durian lockseed so his design is based on the spartan and durian. With spikes EVERYWHERE(i do love a toy that can draw blood when you fiddle with them) and a cool mohawk, he's looks so unique. Add to that the colour scheme of metallic dark green, light green, purple and silver, he stands out on the shelf.

Instead of compound eyes like all the typical Kamen Rider, Bravo here has lines.

He doesn't come with much, but it's pretty much all you need anyway. Extra hands, tiny tiny durian lockseed (i'll probably loose it if i'm not careful), his twin swords, Duri Noko and a wine glass... which is pretty cool touch by Bandai. He had them in 2 episodes if i remember correctly. I would love it if he came with cakes though, that'll be perfect.

Check out the tiny lockseed's details! Even the tiny belt has articulation but it's so tiny, you have to practice some restraint changing them.

Salut

By the way, i love love love the new SHF hips. Those pull down hips were pretty articulated but they were so fragile. These on the other hands, achieve both fantastic articulation and are pretty solid. The articulation overall is pretty great but that's as expected of a SHF.

He's really great! I'm loving him so much that i'll probably get another Gaim Kamen Rider to display with him. Too bad he's an exclusive so be prepare to pay abit more for him. But other than the price, i really can't recommend him enough. Now i'm gotta decide who should i get next... shall it be Gridon? Zangetsu? Or maybe i should get Gaim???

Anyway, thanks for viewing!

66 Action Kamen Riders Box 3

So 66 Action box 3 is finally here and i'm pretty happy, mainly because it has my fave villain rider of the franchise. Though it seems like Bandai is trying to cash in on Kamen Rider Gaim's popularity while they still can and inserted 2 riders from the series in box 3, not that i mind though, since they're pretty nice. Anyway, let's take a look!

First up, Kamen Rider Gaim Kiwami Arms! Like Kamen Rider Gaim before him, he's inspired by the samurai armor. He comes with 4 extra arms like all previous releases and DJ Gun Taiken mode. Kiwami is suppose to have a cape though, no idea why they didn't include one.

Orange Arms Gaim still look better than Kiwami though. He's probably the weakest entry of this box.

Next up is another kamen rider from the Gaim series, Kamen Rider Zangetsu Shin. This time, instead of a shield and sword, he comes with a bow and the standard fare of 4 hands.

Unlike Kiwami, Zangetsu Shin looks better than his standard form.

Fourze! Finally, another rider from a different series!

He has the least accessories though, just the standard 4 extra hand. If they included a rocket arm it would have been fantastic but alas...

Finally, my fave kamen rider this box around, Kamen Rider Eternal from the W series.

I got lucky and picked the secret box which was Eternal with his cape. Though i've seen that the normal box is basically just a capeless Eternal... that's not how you do secret boxes Bandai! Anyway, Eternal here has his little bandolier sculpted on and they are really detailed. I gave mine some paint apps to bring out the details which is just fantastic for something so small.

The cape is pretty great, it can fit almost any rider with a normal head.

For RM15 ( 5 USD ) each, this guys are really great! A perfect way to collect riders without breaking your wallet, really hope Bandai continues this line. I'm hoping for Amazon and more Showa riders next... maybe even a Skull...

Anyway, thanks for viewing!

Bandai SHF Kamen Rider Amazon

AH MA ZONNNNNNNNNNN! GIGI!
My fave Showa Kamen Rider and probably my fave Kamen Rider ever, Amazon is basically a toku version of Tarzan. Amazon stands out among the others for probably being the most brutal series besides Kamen Rider Shin and also the fact he was the first rider not based on an insect. He's a fish... lizard... thing. Anyway, i finally have my very own super articulated Amazon thanks to Bandai!

Like straight of the TV onto my desk. He looks GREAT and unlike the earlier SHFs, he doesn't look anorexic. Paint are superbly applied, all the lines are clean and the gradient on the yellow chest pieces are superb.

Articulation like all SHFs is superb, with almost every joints you could want. He does have extra points of articulations the others don't have though. Namely the chest pieces which are on ball joints, a mouth hinge and fins hinge. Though he doesn't have the diecast feet of the older SHFs, but those haven't been used in quite a while anyway.

He comes with everything you could want on Amazon with the exception of Jungler, his bike. 5 extra hands, the Gigi and Gaga armlets, a billowing scarf, Condorer (his belt) pieces, grappling hook and Dai Setsudan effect.

Dai Setsudan are 2 pieces that you clip together on a specific hand piece.

I love him simply by just being Kamen Rider Amazon. But even if you have no attachement to the character. Amazon is a superbly made toy that's bound to impress.

Anyway, thanks for viewing!

66 Action Kamen Riders Box 2

Kamen rider, bugmen of justice and my childhood heroes. It's hard to find anyone who haven't been exposed to kamen rider in 1 form or another. With so many incarnations of kamen rider, it's no surprise that Bandai would capitalize on the franchise, ranging from roleplay toys to fully articulated action figures and now, tiny tiny little action figures.

A newly released line, 66 Action is a series of candy toys of chibified kamen riders from the various series. Here in box 2, there's Kabuto from kamen rider Kabuto, W from kamen rider W, Den-o from kamen rider Den-o, Zangetsu from kamen rider Gaim and the secret figure Dark Kabuto... which unfortunately i don;t have... Anyway, the figures all have standard articulation, ball jointed head, shoulder, hips with swivel elbows, wrist, knees and ankles. But because of how it's made, the shoulder and hip joints have pretty limited outwards motion. While kamen rider W is my fave Heisei series, his figure here is pretty meh. All the riders come with a black stand and some extra accessories, W here has a scarf and extra hands holding memories.

He's missing paintapps on his bangles and his back.

Kabuto is probably the best looking one, his metallic red really pops and his red eyes are really cool. He comes some extra hands just like W.

Here's him with the "My grandma used to say..." poses.

Den-o gets a sword!

Ore Sanjou looks really awkward...

I haven't watch Gaim yet, so i have no idea bout Zangetsu except his based on a melon and has a shield. He also comes with a sword.

All in all, these guys are pretty cool for their price. I bought them for 5 bucks per box. Even with the awkward shoulders and hips, they're pretty detailed and kinda cute. I'm looking forward to box 3 cause that one has Eternal which is my fave villain from W.
Anyway, thanks for viewing!

EDIT: Finally managed to get my hands on the secret figure for this box, Dark Kabuto!
