Yokai Watch Have The Cutest Demon Cats

Just finished the Yokai Watch for 3ds recently and i LOVE the cat yokais especially Shogunyan. How can you not love a cat dressed in samurai armor?

Robot Spirits/Damashii Crossbone Gundam X2 Kai (Full Action Version)

As i mentioned before, i'm not much of a Gundam fan and i'm certainly not a plamo fan. But sometimes, a suit's design will grow on me such as the Barbartos and Graze Kai suits and in this instance, the Crossbone X2.
Crossbone X2 is from the manga only series, Mobile Suit Crossbone Gundam that's set in the Universal Century. What that means though, i have no idea, i just love the pirate inspired mecha designs. And since i'm pretty amateur in plamo (the Crossbone X2 kit is an exclusive, so NOPE) i've opted to buy the already built and easily available Robot Spirits version.

GOTTA GO FAST!

Just messing around with an old Transformer. I lost the rifle so long ago... dammit

figma Silent Hill Bubble Head Nurse

Since Max Factory released their Pyramid Head i've been eagerly waiting for their Nurse release. Along with Pyramid Head, the Nurse is from probably the most popular entry of the franchise, Silent Hill 2. What else can evoke the Silent Hill experience but a creepy, shambling zombie nurse in a mini skirt? Here's the Bubble Head Nurse!

HG 1/144 Graze Kai

When i first started watching Iron Blooded Orphans (IBO), i thought to myself that the Graze suits were pretty cool but i don't like how the head looked. It looked kinda odd to me, like someone squished the head sideways. But around episode 4 when they revealed Tekkadan had salvaged one of the Graze suits and customed it, i loved how the new head looked.
So when Bandai announced they'll be releasing Graze Kai's kit, i gotta have it!

Transformers Combiner Wars Deluxe Class Prowl

Its been awhile since i last bought a transformer, i've mentioned before that combiners don't really interest me. So while Hasbro's been pumping out a few new molds and dozen of retools and repaints, all i can think of is when are we getting the headmasters? But once i laid eyes on Prowl, i couldn't resist.

Unlucky With Gashapons...

I rolled 4 RXes before finally getting Crossbones... and he wasn't even my first choice...

Vulcanlog 001 Monster Hunter Tigrex Standard Species

Monster Hunter is one of the few games i will actively follow. I've been playing the series since the ps2 era and i've bought a 3ds just to play the new instalment.
Anyway Kaiyodo is not a stranger to the Monster Hunter series, they have released 2 monster species Rathalos and Zinogre and 2 armor sets. But Kaiyodo has finally decided to go full blown with the series and announce a lot of upcoming figures, including palicoes! And they just recently released their newest addition to their monster line, the raging Tigrex!

HGBF 1/144 Dom R35

Down the rabbit hole i go. After my first real build with Barbatos i'm smitten with the blue beauty that is Dom R35. Unfortunately i've never watched the Build Fighters series so i have no idea what's the back story behind this figure is... but hey, that hasn't stop anyone before right?

Thursday 5 November 2015

HG 1/144 Gundam Barbatos

I'm not much of a Plamo guy, normally i wouldn't buy them unless they were interesting or unique. And normally i wouldn't spend so much time on building them either. But i got to watching the new Gundam series, Iron Blooded Orphans and i loved it! And the HG kit is pretty cheap as well so i figured why not? As it turns out, Barbatos is pretty awesome.

Star Wars Black Series First Order Stormtrooper

I'm one of those people that kinda liked the new trooper design in Force Awakens. I thought it looked kinda cool and still looked distinctly Star Wars. So when i saw the new Black Series Stormtrooper on retail, i thought "Why not?" So here he is! First Order Stormtrooper!

JAZZ HANDS!

Just a minor mod with MGS Hands 02 for FOC deluxe Shockwave. I hate the ugly looking tiny default fists, so i drilled a tiny hole on the thrusters, painted the model hand black and just plugged it in. It looks so much better now... only problem with this is the altmode thruster has a tiny hole now...

66 Action Kamen Riders Box 7

It's a bit late, but i finally have my 66 Action Kamen Riders Box 7! I don't think the 66 Action series need another introduction so let's just jump straight to it!

Neca 12" Godzilla 1954

Neca is knocking it out of the park with the Godzilla releases. Each releases gets better and better until we've finally reached the earliest version of Big G, the 1954 Godzilla!

Thursday 1 October 2015

Hasbro Dark of The Moon Voyager Megatron

While i patiently wait for Skylynx and new legends from Combiner Wars, i've decided to go back to the old transformers line. Specifically the movie line. Love the movie designs or hate them, there's no denying there are some gems here and there. One such gem, is ol Megatron from the third movie line.

The Seeker Trio! ... And A Rainmaker

Got all them new Legends Seekers finally.  I already reviewed this mold via Acidstorm and i loved it. These guys look great together!

Q-Transformers QTF03 & QTF25 Lockdowns (Movie& Yoroshiku vers)

Takara Tomy has a introduce a new subline and they are ADORABLE AS HELL! Q-Transformers are simple Super Deformed transformers similar to legends but so much cuter. They have already release alot of characters but i've only got the Lockdowns since they're pretty hard to come by here... Anyway, here they are in all their cute glory

Drifuto-kun

Another sketch... by now you've probably guessed why i'm sketching...

It's cause i'm too lazy to take pictures.

Lego Buildable Figure General Grievous

The Prequel sucks, everyone knows that. But i can't help but to like General Grievous ( incompetent as he was in the movies ) because he was such a cool design. Also i first saw Grievous in the Gennedy animated series where he was an incredible badass so that helped.

Swooping Over

Couldn't resist a black red repaint of animated Swoop. This old mold is still my fave Swoop transformer. Thanks Takara!

RE-MENT Pose Skeleton Tyranosaurus & Pachycephalosaurus

Time for something different this time around, Pose Skeletons are a line recently released by RE-MENT which normally release miniature food figures. Pose Skeletons though, are a line focusing of human skeletons and such. Normally that wouldn't garner much attention, but these skeletons are superposable and they even have their own line of accessories ranging from bathtub to piano sets!
And recently they've branched out from human skeletons and did creatures!

66 Action Kamen Riders Box 6

Another month, another 66 action box! Since it's already box 6, you've probably know what 66 action is all about by now ( 66 action is a candy box series from Bandai that features cheap but very articulated toys ranging from mostly Kamen Riders to Dragon Ball ). So let's just jump right to it!

Marvel Legends Infinte Antman

Marvel is finally ending their phase 2 movies with Antman. And you know what that means, MORE MARVEL LEGENDS!!! So here's the MCU version of the shrinking hero, Antman!

Sunday 19 July 2015

Takara Transformers Legends Black Convoy

I never own the old generations Laser Prime back when it was released. I don't really like the head sculpt nor the colour. But slap a black colour scheme with teal and suddenly it's a must own for me. And for just 25 bucks? SIGN ME UP!

Tuesday 14 July 2015

My Fave Dino Ever!

How can you not love a dinosaur that looks like his face was pushed in by a truck and the tiniest arms? Carnotaurus is the best!

Marvel Legends Target Exclusive 3 pack Ultron

Ultron didn't have much love in the Marvel Legends department. There was the weird anime-ish robot with a flying thingy made by Toybiz and the Iron Man Marvel Legends one repainted from Titanium Man with a new head. Both were kinda lackluster, with the Toybiz one leaning towards crappy.

So when Avengers 2 hit the cinemas, i knew it would just be a matter of time for Hasbro to start pushing for more Ultron figures. While they're releasing movie Ultron Prime as the BAF for the Antman Legends, i still wanted a decent comic Ultron legends. So surprise surprise, Hasbro released a comic Ultron that's a store exclusive that's only available in the US... GODDAMMIT!

Transformers Combiner Wars Voyager Cyclonus / Galvatronus

I did it. I finally did it. I've finally gave in to the Combiner Wars gimmick. I tried really hard to resist them, but Hasbro just had to make a purple combiner, purple toys are my weakness. So here's the toy that finally pushed me over, voyager Cyclonus!

Design Fail, Goddammit Hasbro

I thought this guy would be fun to have... boy, did i thought wrong. Stupid shoulders wouldn't stay pegged no matter what i do. I finally broke him while trying to come out ways to solve the shoulder issue...
Now he's permanently stuck in robot mode. Such a waste, i loved the look of this guy and to have it foiled by such a glaring flaw.
Anyway, gave him some blue for the little details.

Neca Devil May Cry Dante

As fans of action and horror video games, there are very few people who've never heard of the Devil May Cry series. Dante, the main character of the series, is one of the most iconic characters of video games and i, myself is a fan of the first game. Neca teased us with a prototype 7 years back of a Dante figure but unfortunately it never saw release. Between those 7 years there were only a handful of Dante figures ever made, most of them in weird scale, the oddly proportioned Revoltech, the big ugly Play Arts and some trading figures. None of them appealed to me... so i kept hoping Neca would finally release a decent Dante. Somehow the planets aligned and Neca finally released Dante for development hell!

Thursday 4 June 2015

Marvel Legends Infinite Daredevil

With the release of the fantastic Netflix Daredevil series (it's great by the way, go watch it) , it's no surprise that Hasbro would want to push some merch for ol Man Without Fear. So when they stuck him in the latest Spider-man ML series i knew besides Spidey 2009, i gotta get my hands on Daredevil as well. So how does he stack up? Pretty good actually.

Tuesday 26 May 2015

figma Silent Hill Red Pyramid Thing aka Pyramid Head

Probably Silent Hill's most memorable monster is finally here in figure form, Max Factory's Pyramid Head is released! I'm not a big Silent Hill buff but i've always liked the creepy and disturbing atmosphere the games bring and this figure perfectly captures that feeling. So, here's the ever creepy Pyramid Head!

Thursday 21 May 2015

Marvel Legends Infinite Spider-Man 2099

Among all the versions of Spider-men, i think my fave will have to be Spider-man 2099. The suit design just screams cool to me and Miguel O'hara is a pretty good character. But unfortunately there wasn't a decently articulated figure of him, the old Toybiz and Marvel Universe ones were pretty crappy. That is until Hasbro finally gave us Spidey 2099 in the second Spider-man Infinite ML wave. So without further ado, here comes Spidey 2099 swinging in!

Sunday 17 May 2015

Neca Dawn of the Planet of the Apes Luca

There's always a lack of articulated animal figures in this hobby. But thanks to Neca, we finally have articulated simians at long last! Sure, they're not really generic simians, but with the exception of Koba and Caesar, the Planet of the Apes Luca and Maurice are just typical simians. And who can say no to an articulated gorilla? This guy can't, so here it is!

Tuesday 12 May 2015

Hasbro Transformers Robots in Disguise Legends

Bought some of the little guys from the new animated transformers series cause they look so cute... seriously, SO CUTE.

Wednesday 6 May 2015

Takara Transformers Generations Megatron

I maybe a little late to the party, but i finally bought a loose Megatron from Takara's Generations 2 pack! And i have to say... i'm a little dissapointed...

Star Wars Black Series 6" Bossk

With the Force Awakens around the corner, what better way to celebrate with a badass man-lizard bounty hunter? Introducing the newest entry to Hasbro's Star Wars Black series, Bossk!
Bossk is Trandoshan bounty hunter that worked for Darth Vader along with the likes of Boba Fett, 4LOM, Zuckuss, IG 88 and Dengar. He only makes a small cameo in the movies but apparently he has a strained rivalry with Boba and hatred for the crew of the Millenium Falcon. I don't really know much bout Star Wars besides the movie, but Bossk was always one of my favourite characters mostly because he's a giant lizard man in a space suit. What's not to love?

Some New Stabby Toys For Toys

Got me some M.S.G (Modeling Support Goods) sets, more specifically, Unit 34 and 33, Knife and Sword set.

Friday 24 April 2015

66 Action Kamen Riders Box 5

The next box of 66 Action Kamen Riders are here! And this time with probably my fave entries from the series so far!

Monday 20 April 2015

Masher Deadpool!

How this guy gets ankle swivels while the Marvel Legends don't is kinda weird... but i won't complain. From henceforth i shall call you Toonpool!

Wednesday 15 April 2015

Transformers Combiner Wars Deluxe Class Dead End

Crap, I've fallen for Hasbro's evil plan. First it was just Offroad, now it's Dead End and I'm already contemplating buying the rest of the team because i've already 2 limbs... Anyway, Dead End may be the best looking deluxe in Combiner Wars. Dead End is an old time member of the Stunticons, a gloomy sort of guy with nihilistic look on life. So back to the toy!

Wednesday 8 April 2015

Marvel Legends SDCC 2014 Exclusive Thanos Imperative Star-lord

I previously mentioned in my movie Star-lord review that i loved the Guardians of the Galaxy comic and Star-lord was among my favorite characters. But i was crushed, CRUSHED when Hasbro announced they're releasing comic Star-lord ML but only in the 2014 SDCC boxset. Because as a someone living in Southeast Asia, there's no way i can obtain the boxset without dishing major dosh. But as luck would have it, i found a little comic shop that sold rare collectibles cheap and lo and behold, what should i see there but the Thanos Imperative Boxset!

Wednesday 1 April 2015

Transformers Combiner Wars Deluxe Class Offroad

I previously mentioned that i'm indifferent towards Hasbro's Combiner Wars. Not that it's bad or anything but i'm just not into combiners. But when wave 2 arrived, 2 deluxes stood out among the Stunticons. Those 2 were Deadend and Offroad. And while i didn't manage to get Deadend, here's Offroad instead. Basically a new character made to replace Wildrider in IDW's storyline, he's reckless Stunticon trying to gain his fellow teammates trust.

Marvel Legends Infinite Avengers 2 Machine Man

Since buying Iron Fist  the last time, i saw something that i've never thought Hasbro would release, a Machine Man Marvel Legends. Intrigued, i went back and snapped him up as well. So who's Machine Man? Machine Man/Aaron Stack/Z2P45-9-X-51 or X-51 for short is an android character created by Jack Kirby for 2001: A Space Odyssey and later debuted in his own series. Basically a robot who was raised as human, became a fugitive from the military, became a hero and finally joined the cosmic beings known as Celestials. That is until the Nextwave series bought him back as a egotistical douchebag, albeit a funny one. That's where most of my exposure to Machine Man came from so i was fully expecting Hasbro to give us his modern look but Hasbro is surprising sometimes.

Marvel Legends Infinite Avengers 2 Iron Fist

Iron Fist aka Danny Rand was a character created in 1974 along with Power Man aka Luke Cage during the blaxploitation and kung fu movie boom. Though not A-lister superheroes, they're still pretty popular and appear frequently in numerous titles. I kinda have a soft spots for street level superheroes, which is why Iron Fist and Daredevil appeal to me, so once Marvel announced that they were making Netflix miniseries of several street level heroes, i was pretty ecstatic. And of course, to promote their show, Hasbro gave us updated Legends of these characters which i can't thank them enough. Anyway, here's Iron Fist!
