Star Wars Black Series 6" Kanan Jarrus

I stumbled upon a listing for Kanan Jarrus and though i was hesitant, i bought it. And i don't regret it one bit!
He's probably my fave Black Series figure so far! So let's jump straight to pics!

Transformers Robots In Disguise 2016 Warrior Bisk

Sometimes you see a design so weird and funky that you just have to have it which in this case, it's the the funky robot lobster man Bisk from RID 2016.

Amazing Yamaguchi No.001 Deadpool Revoltech

After the Deadpool movie debuted, the titular character has gained popularity and influx of merch. But since Deadpool is a Marvel character, most of the figures have been western releases. So imagine my surprise when Yamaguchi announced that he would release a revoltech of Deadpool! Finally, a super articulated Deadpool capable of crazy ninja poses!
Now don't get me wrong Hasbro's Deadpool is decent, but he can't do most of the poses expected of a ninja character. But how does Revoltech Deadpool stack up? Let's get to it then.

Creepy droid K2S0 ( modded 3.75" 5POA figure )

So Hasbro just released their new Star Wars Rogue One stuff and the scalpers have already cleaned all the new Black series figures... Instead of paying for the already high price of Black series i bought the tiny 5POA K2s0 and gave him so revo joints.

Takara Transformers Legend Shockwave and Cancer

I've gone over Hasbro's Legend Shockwave before and Takara's Shockwave is a straight repaint with an additional Crashbash repaint included.

Takara Transformers Legends Blurr

Titan Returns continue to awe me with their deluxes! I've just bought myself a Takara Legends Blurr and he's great!

Takara Transformers Legends Skull (Skullsmasher/Skullcruncher)

I've been away for awhile because i'm moving in a new place and i've been spending much of my money on the renovations. So my posts might be alot slower than usual.

Anyway back when i was little and living in the boonies, transformers were rare and pretty pricy for that time. Never owned any of the G1 stuff. Until 1 fateful birthday, my parents gave me my first ever transformer, G1 Headmaster Skullcruncher! I loved that thing and it followed me where ever i went. Unfortunately like all teenagers, i went through the "too cool for toys" phase and have since lost Skullcruncher somewhere...

So imagine my excitement when Hasbro/Takara announced they're releasing a modern Headmasters line, with Skullcruncher in the first wave!!!
So here's Takara's Legends Skull/Skullsmasher also formerly known as Skullcruncher!

Man i miss Mezco's Hellboys stuff, Abe from the cartoon line is really cool

Robot Shorties

Just finished building my gunpla backlogs, SD Superior Dragon and SD Zero Gundam.

Transformers Combiner Wars Deluxe Class Swindle

It's been awhile since i've last bought a transformer, the last being the fantastic legends Shockwave. With Titan Returns just around the corner, I've ordered Takara's release since i like the colours more so i won't have any new transformers until the end of July.
But i did get the deluxe i've wanted since his announcement, the ever sleazy armsdealer, Swindle.

Cowabunga!

Couldn't resist  Mondo Gecko for 3 bucks but he's lacking articulation and paint so badly... So i spruced him up alittle!

Neca Heroes of Storm Arthas

YES!!! Finally, ARTHAS MENETHIL, THE LICH KING! After waiting for so long, i finally have him in my hands!
So here's Neca's Heroes of Storm Arthas!

Kaiyodo Capsule Q Armored Action Skull "Fight! Dokuroman" Skeleton American Soldier DEVGRU

Kaiyodo's have already released quite a few skeletons, Skeletons from Jason and Argonauts in their Revoltech line, the Gaikotsu and the upcoming Samurai Gaikotsu in their KT Project line.
All of them seemed fairly well received so it made sense for Kaiyodo to release a cheap collectible gashapon line. So here's the newly released Kaiyodo's Capsule Q Armored Action Skull "Fight! Dokuroman" Skeleton American Soldier DEVGRU!! Whew, what a mouthful!

Mega Bloks Ninja Turtles Leonardo and Shredder Mirage Version

So i was surfing the net one day, minding my own business, looking for nothing in particular until i stumbled upon a listing from China. New TMNT Mega Bloks yet to be released being sold right now! How can i resist? Unfortunately the listing is only for loose minifigures so i just bought Mirage Leonardo, Mirage Shredder and Classic Leonardo, I would have bought more but they were already sold out... Anyway, since no one has the Mirage sets yet, i thought i would show some pics!

Mega Bloks Ninja Turtle Blindbags Series 2

It's weird, TRU Malaysia is not bringing any mega bloks in except Spongebob sets and Nick TMNT blindbags... just the blindbags. Anyway, i got all of the ones i want in this series except for Raph... i thought he was Spike.

Bandai NXedge Style Omnimon/Omegamon

When i was little i grew up with the Digimon virtual pets and games, virtual pets were all the rage back then. Unfortunately i wasn't that into the show, though i did watch the animated movie, Our War Game and loved it. The movie was was the debut of one of the most famous digimon, Omnimon/ Omegamon.

Bandai SHF Dragon Ball Beerus

Man, i was a big Dragon Ball fan growing up. I remember chasing each volume with my dad and watching the movies on marathon... Great times. So i had pretty fond memories of the series and when they announced they were making sequels for Dragon Ball Z, i was pretty wary.
Fortunately the movie was pretty good and i loved the new characters introduced, especially Beerus, the God of Destruction of Universe 7. And with the announcement of the SHF for a pretty affordable price, i couldn't resist!

Bandai Legends BB SD Command Gundam

I'm on a plamo kick recently. With not much interesting releases from Transformer, i've turn to Bandai for my robot fix and what could be cooler than a tiny gundam with GUNS! everywhere. So here's Command Gundam from Bandai's Legends BB line.

Kotobukiya Medabots Headscissors/Rokusho Model Kit

I mention a while back that i grew up watching Medabots in my Sanjuro post. While the Sanjuro kit was pretty lackluster, i thought i might give the Kotobukiya Medabot line another go since I never got the chance to buy the D-arts Roksuho (he's like 63 USD now, ouch).
So here's Rokusho, probably the coolest Medabot in the show.

HG 1/144 Prototype Gouf (Tactical Demonstrator)

It's been awhile since i last built a model kit, so i bought Proto Gouf on a whim. There's something about this mono eyed giant mech that tickles my fancy, maybe it's the blue, maybe it's the spiky shoulder pauldrons but Goufs just looks so cool.
And Proto Gouf has something i really like on giant mechs, asymmetry.

Mega Bloks Ninja Turtle Blindbags

By some miracle, Malaysia TRU finally bought in some Mega Bloks. Although it's just the TMNT blindbags, i'm still pretty happy, just hopefully they'll bring in the rest of the stuff, i really want the classic turtles.

Gashapons Are Addicting As Hell

I hate gashapons, i always seem to spend more than i have to everytime i try to roll for ones i want.
I just wanted Barbatos and Graze but i ended up with most of the wave and a few doubles...
This things are like toy gambling and i'm never lucky.

Transformers Combiner Wars Legends Class Shockwave

After some ups and downs, Combiner Wars is finally ending this year to be replaced with Headmasters in Titan Returns. But before the line officially ends, Hasbro wants the line to go out with a bang and gave us what probably is the best Legends we've had in recent years. This tiny gem is Legends Shockwave (also i just bought a hangar backdrop and i'm testing it out in these shots, so bear with me)

Neca Series 14 Alien Vs Predator Scar, Chopper & Celtic

After 3 painful months of waiting, they are finally here! The highly anticipated ( to me anyway ) Neca's brand new Alien Vs Predator line! Something odd happened between the supplier and retailer so this wave got delayed for quite a while in Malaysia, i was actually about to give up hope and had them imported but the stars aligned and now i finally have my hands on them.
How are they? Well, i hate to gush about every Neca figure i buy but I LOVE THESE GUYS!!!

Takara Transformers Armada Starscream Super Mode

I didn't grow up with Armada so i never delve too deep into the series. All i know about the Armada series is  that it features some pretty crazy transformer designs and it's debut of the minicons.
So i've pretty much ignored Armada releases, even the release of the leader class Armada Megatron since i didn't need another sub line to collect. But Takara always find away to make me buy their repaints and this time it's no different.
So here is Armada Starscream Super Mode!

A Little Sprucing Up

While everyone is having fun with the new legends Shockwave, i still can't find one... so i decided to spruce up the old Prime legends Shockwave.

Monday 15 February 2016

Neca Heroes of Storm Illidan

It's been awhile since my last Neca figure...There's actually a reason behind that, Malaysia doesn't really have a reliable Neca distributor so we've really slow on the release (some are even skipped entirely, namely the Bioshock releases). Being a Neca fan here is suffering for someone who's too poor to afford western imports ( i'm still waiting for the AVP releases to hit Malaysia ).
So when i saw a single Illidan in a video shop of all places, i snapped him without thinking twice.
There's no way i'm passing up on such a cool looking figure, so i give you Illidan, the Betrayer!

Transformers Robots In Disguise 2015 Warrior Quillfire

Although i wasn't too impressed with the new Transfomers series, Robots In Disguise, i found that some of the transformers designs in the show pretty interesting. Especially the Decepticons where they have animal motives but still clearly have vehicle modes. So when i saw Quillfire, a crazy looking orca porcupine robot car, i couldn't resist.

Bandai Star Wars First Order Stormtrooper Model Kit

Star Wars Force Awakens has come and passed. With the hype and excitement is winding down, i find the movie enjoyable even though it was basically modern remake of A New Hope. Anyway, i did previously mentioned from my Black Series FO stormtrooper that i liked the new designs for the troopers but was horribly disappointed with Hasbro's offering. But luckily Hasbro wasn't the only company making FO stormtroopers in the 1/12 scale, thank you Bandai!
Now Bandai made 2 stormtroopers, the pricier but probably the best figuarts one and the cheaper model kit. Since i'm a stingy and poor, i opted to buy the model kit and i am pleasantly surprised!

Kaiyodo Movie Revoltech Age of Ultron's Ultron

Now that the hype for Age of Ultron has finally wind down, i can honestly say though the movie has flaws i still enjoyed it but even though i'm fine the depiction of Ultron in the movie, he lacked the intimidating and threatening presence of a movie big bad. And this carried over to the figures as well, Bandai's SHF one is oddly skinny, Hot Toys one is screen accurate which means like in the movie it lacked presence, the Hasbro one.. the less said the better.
But Kaiyodo decided " You know, what? Screw screen accuracy, let's make Ultron intimidating!" and boy, they made one badass looking movie Ultron.

Bandai Yokai Watch Model Kit Komashura/Shurakoma

So people online have been saying Yokai Watch is the next big Pokemon or whatever, that if it's big in Japan, surely it'll be just as successful everywhere else. Well, i finished the game and while it's very fun, i can't say it'll topple Pokemon or whatever those clickbait websites are saying. It's just a simple fun game with witty writing.
Anyway the game features some interesting monster designs and the cutest demon depictions ever. So when i saw that Bandai released Yokai Watch model kits, i caved in a bought a couple.
